Initial Research on the major project:David Ogilvy
In this post I would want to tell you about one of the most important person in the advirtisement(ad) history, because he was one of the first person who started to talk how audience communicate with ads. His thoughts are useful for my project named ''Pchycological influence of advertisement'', because he was interested in ads influence on people and he succeed. I would want to use some of his ideas as an examples and references for my project.

His occupation was Advertising executive. He began his career in 1932 after leaving Oxford, failing his exams. In 1932 he returned to Scotland and began selling AGA cookstoves,door-to-door. Being successful in his sales, his boss asked Oglivy for a service, namely to write The Theory and Practice of Selling the AGA cookers for other sellers.
Thanks to the help of his brother Francis Ogilvy, David Ogilvy took a position as an account manager at an advertising agency Mather & Crowther.(1935)
David Oglivy founded his advertising company basing it on his idea that the main function of advertising is to sell the product. His advertising was successful because of his belief that the product should be sold knowing its audience. In other words, he created his advertising based on information about possible buyers.

He was convinced that selling the product depended on how the product would be raised and depicts in advertising. David Ogilvy’s ideas work in our modern world, and they apply to every advirtising.

In the video above, David refers to his audience, he says that we ourselves know which advertising sells products better. He knows that understanding his audience is the key to success. He claims direct headings where we can learn about the benefits of the product work. The direct response works.
