Website: About Me

Hello! My name is Viktoriia Kriukovska and I am currently studying at De Montfort University International College. My continuation root is Media with Communication. I know languages such as Ukrainian, Russian, English, Polish and Czech. I finished art school when I was 14, so I easily understand how combine colours and create somethng new. 

Most of all I like the topics related to the consumer's behavior in the Media and Marketing sphere. I’m interested in learning how advertising affects why people decide to buy a thing or a service. My passion for Media has led me to enrol on the course for BA Media with Commucation next year at DMU.  In the future, I would love to work for a renowned marketing company as a PR manager. 

 


I added the photo and text that you can see above to the About page on my website. I did it by using the Copy-Paste function. You can see my result below. 



I used themes called 'Headings 2, 3, 5 and Paragraph 2' to make people pay attention to my text. By changing the size of the text, I gave the reader the opportunity to understand in what sequence to read the information. I also used a font called Futura, because I think it’s easy to read.

Then, using the Mobile Mode feature, I decided to see what the site would look like in mobile format. By checking the page, I made sure that the text and the picture look like I want. Below you can see a view of my About page in Mobile Mode.

    Good that you added mobile view of the about page and screenshots. How did you find the process of creating the about page? Were you pleased with the result. Make the purpose of the post clear.

Software testing: Flipping Book

 In this and subsequent posts, I would like to test the platforms that would help me create my journal article. In this particular post, I’m going to take a visual example of how I used the Flipping Book . Also at the end, I will share my impressions about this software.  First of all, I opened Flipping Book website and signed up with my google account.  After I registered, a pop-up window asked me to upload my material. Since I already had my project ready I pushed the button 'Download PDF'.  In less than 30 seconds, my project looked like a magazine(see below). After my project was fully loaded, I started editing. The first thing I wanted to do was change the background from gray to something brighter. To do this, I pressed the Skin button and chose the picture I liked from those you can see below. Research on Target Market

 In my last class, I created a video that was meant to promote me professionally. In addition, I did a targeted search, because when you make a video, you have to understand the audience that’s going to watch it. In another language, I looked up ads from various companies for the PR manager position. In this particular post, I would want to share my results and thoughts about it.  I was searching for the most suitable job on websites such as Indeed and Linkedin . On Linkedin , I found a job opening for a PR manager. If be more clear, the position is called Communication Assistant, which is perfect for my degree. I would want to work in fashion industry, so this ad caught my eye.
